Hi from Donna, I am a New Zealand born artist. I mostly create using acrylic paint, paper, ink, dye, fabric and fibre. I get so much satisfaction from creating a beautiful piece of art weather it be a book, journal, painting, fibre or mixed media. I have played in these mediums for forty years. Just by chance I met Gae, at a fibre festival, and was invited to join the art group. Since then my art has taken on a lot more importance, it gives me an opportunity to enjoy the company of like minded people, to be in my happy place, share ideas and be guided by an excellent tutor.

    Handmade, coptic bound books. Coptic binding is a medieval form of binding where all the signatures (group of pages) are hand stitched together. This allows the book to be opened totally flat. This beautiful technique was learnt in Gae's book workshop.
