yvonne gray

Yvonne Gray is an acrylic painter & print-maker who conveys impressions of places and emotions in her art-work. She pushes colour combinations & uses mark-making, figures, words & patterns to speak her narrative. She has won a Franklin Arts Festival award & has had a successful solo show at the Franklin Community Gallery in Pukekohe. Now living in Orewa, she is thrilled to have won the 2021 Merit Prize for Painting in the Estuary Arts Members' Merit Awards with her painting 'It's not all black & white'.

Eco-printing is a natural dyeing technique where the colours from plants, leaves & flowers are transferred to paper. The fascination of this is that you cannot predict the results, therefore each piece is unique. This series of figurative paintings on eco-printed paper are reminiscent of walks on the beach and in nature. They speak of connections with family, our pets and friends, our journeys and sense of community. Eco print on paper 23 x 28cm framed sold
